• Following Registration, all data input is at vehicle, not individual/personal level

• Searches for other smart vehicle data can be conducted by anyone registered with the smart car register and a vehicle search requires either VIN or Vehicle Registration/Licence Plate number of the vehicle sought

• All VIN and Vehicle Registration/Licence Plate data is encrypted during transmission

• To comply with Privacy legislation, VIN and Vehicle Registration/Licence Plate data is not displayed on search results

• The register provides a central secure global resource to search prior to purchase or sale of previous owned smart cars

• thesmartclub also offers a phone based Registration service to individuals with no Internet access

• As no owner data is captured, there is no published or visible association between a vehicle and its owner as all data is at vehicle level

• Vehicle history and owner notes provide valuable pre sale/pre purchase checks and also provides a valuable log for the present owner's Insurance purposes

• All vehicle data uploaded by an owner is available for edit by that owner 24/7

• In line with thesmartclub's published Privacy Statement, Data Protection Act compliance and published Terms & Conditions, no data captured is sent to, shared or sold to any other third party organisation.
