| I have sent in my Event
Registration Form - when will I receive my event stickers? |
Your Packs
are being posted 12th and 13th June 2008. |
| Is there a closing date
for Registrations? |
Yes - online and
telephone Registrations will close at 1200hrs noon (UK time) 7th
June 2008. However, if you also wish to apply for one of the
Competition Categories, your Registration application must be
received by 1200hrs noon (UK time) on May 24th) |
| I have
entered for a Competition Category - what happens next? |
During May
you will be contacted by a 3rd party company requesting additional
details about your car and yourself. Details of this 3rd Party
company will be published shortly. A short list of 10 finalists from
each of the three categories will be selected by the 3rd party
company and all finalists (30 cars in total) will receive an
additional Category sticker with their Pack. Upon arrival at
Brooklands, each of the 30 cars will be directed to a dedicated area
to display their cars. During the afternoon, visitors to the
event will have the opportunity to vote for their winner in each
Category. All votes will be counted during the afternoon and
the winner in each category announced around 1500hrs that day.

| If I miss
the deadline for Registering for this Event. Can I turn up on
the day? |
Yes.
Although you will not be posted a Pack, please see the graphic below
for details on the layout of the venue and other sections on this
FAQ page regarding logistics and how to find the venue itself.

| Do I need proof of I.D.
of m/ship to attend this Event even though it's free to get in? |
You will need to
REGISTER for the event using our online form (available from the
link on our homepage) or by Registering by phone (+44 845 299 0332).
Registration will provide you with a vehicle Event sticker which
will ensure you can gain entry to the Event and park in the relevant
area based on the information provided on your application form. |
| How will I know what
Retailers are holding 'pre-start' meetings for a drive to
Brooklands? |
All retailers are being
contacted during April to end May. As we hear of local event
logistics for a retailer in your area, we will publish the details
here. |
| Will there be disabled
parking and access facilities at Mercedes-Benz World |
Yes |
| What's
happening on the day itself and are there activities as well as
Traders, Mercedes-Benz World and the Brooklands museum? |

| What's in the event
Information pack that I will receive and when can I expect to
receive it? |
Packs will contain your vehicle
admission sticker, competition sticker (where applicable) and some
additional information about the event itself. |
| Is it possible to attend
this event even if I do not own a smart car? |
Yes - although you will
be directed to park in a different parking area. This parking
area will still be within the grounds of Mercedes-Benz world. |
| Can I arrive at the
venue before 1200hrs? |
Yes although the gates
to the venue will be closed until 1000hrs |
| My friend does not have
online access - how does he apply to participate in this event? |

| What 3rd
party companies are being invited to attend? |
As with
last year, invitations are extended to a wide range of 3rd party
companies to attend this event. If YOU are an independent
trading company and feel that the products and services you current
sell would be beneficial to the attendees of this event please email
brooklands2008@thesmartclub.com for further information.

| I am driving my own car
to the event and my wife is driving her car to the Event - how do
you handle the application process? |
One online application
will need to be completed for each vehicle |
| I am really impressed
that the event is free of charge. I am a Privilege Card
holder. Will I still be able to benefit from discount on items
purchased from third party companies who also participate in your
Privilege Card scheme? |
Yes - any Trader who
already participates in our Privilege Card Scheme and
offers a discount on parts and services will continue to offer such
discount to Privilege Card holders unless that
retailer is offering special pricing on the day. Note that
you must present your smartclub Privilege Card at the
time of purchase. |
| How will I know the
start locations at Dealerships? |
It is up to each
European dealership to determine the functions and start venue
logistics but we will be publishing details of these as soon as they
are known on this site. If you are arranging your own group to
travel to Brooklands, you can arrange this via our MessageBoard
(Meetings Forum) - select 'Information & News' then 'MessageBoard'
from the above menu. If you
were amongst the first 300 or so people to have Registered for
destination Brooklands and have NOT indicated if you are wishing to
attend a start venue, we will be emailing you during the first 2
weeks of May.
This year, multiple Retailers have
already been contacted with a view to them arranging start venues
for this event.
